Convict Lake

Convict Lake
Before you get to Mammoth, there's a turn-off to Convict Lake...it's only about 2 miles off the 395 and is a great spot for camping and fishing...and eating!!!  One of the best restaurants in the area is at Convict Lake, right by the campground...stay tuned for pics down the road!!!

here is a really good write-up on how the lake got its name. There is also a plaque on the lake side, just past the bridge going toward the campground.
