You never know when you might need a bite to eat...

Bodie Hotel, Bodie State Historical Park
Isn't it nice to know that if you wake up hungry in the wee small hours of the morning, you can still get a bite to eat???

Might be a bit dusty here though...

  3. Interesting sign... Isn't there a mistake, though ? Body Hotel would be so much more fun, as a name for such a catchphrase...

You did a great job by catching that one anyway.

  4. Love it but I do want to know what it is they are serving. Rattlesnake and jackrabbit stew?

  7. 'Tsuki...I love the "Body Hotel"!!! Thanks!!!

Probably Michael...but it would have to be spirit of rattlesnake and jackrabbit stew!!!

Thanks Margaret! I did have a great time there! Though it was as cold as can be, and probably Miss Daisy's last big photo excursion with me :(

Clytie...One of the nice things about going to Bodie late in Fall is that there are fewer people, so the Ghost Town ambience is easily captured!!! Thanks for visiting Clytie!!!

  8. Hi Trish!!! Yep...the road is still a doozy!!! And closed from about mid Nov. on...although the park is still open. You just have to get there by means of snowmobile, snowshoes, or cross country!!! (One of these days, I'd like to try snowmobile!!!)

  9. I think I STILL have a headache from that drive in a friends van! ugh! Beautiful place, lots to see (and photograph...my personal passion)...but wow, considering how far away from reality it is NOW, can't imagine horse & buggy days trying to get out there!

  10. "Meals at All Hours"? I'm gonna have to ask the Chief or detective to interpret what that actually means in the real world.
