Ugh!!! What's an Uprooted Urbanite to do with the letter "U"???

Yep..it's the letter "U"!!!

The upshot of it all is that it is not Uncommon for recent Uplanders who have Unplugged from their roots down south to take up the Unique or Uncommon sport of Cross Country skiing...

Far be it from me to be the Unruly newcomer who doesn't brave an occasional Upheaval in the snow while learning this Uncommon sport!!!  All I need is a pair of Ultra Rossignol's!!!

Ugh!!!  Boy am I glad it's another 365 days before the letter "U" comes up again!!!

Yesterday I did go to the Tamarack Lodge to scope out the how to's of learning to cross country ski...and am definitely looking forward to learning how to Unplug in this Uncommon way!!!

  1. Unplug! I like that idea - don't actually DO it, but it's a good concept.

Elisabeth...your English is certainly far superior to my sprechen sie deutsche!!! (Swiss grandparents, but not language passed down!)

    Lisa...I'm looking forward to learning!!!

Gattina...all I can say is Scrabble Dictionary!!!

    Muchos Gracias Hiker!!!

Thanks Justine!!! I have to admit...I got a bit excited going in there and looking around...can't wait to try it out!!!

I loved downhill 20 years ago the last time I went Su-sieee!!! Hopefully my knees will cooperate when I try it again!!!

Tumblewords...the nice thing about Mammoth is that when the snow stops falling, the sun comes out and it's absolutely gorgeous...and relatively warm in cold weather comparisons!!!

Thanks all, for joining me in my uncommon untangling of the letter "U"!!!

  10. Good luck! I'll watch you from a safe distance. I broke my coccyx cross country skiing, and since then it's a definite 'no' for me. But please do show us some photos from your ski travels.
