Solitary Man...

Fisherman at Convict Lake

Being solitary is being alone well:  being alone luxuriously immersed in doings of your own choice, aware of the fullness of your won
presence rather than of the absence of others.
Because solitude is an achievement.

  1. Chieftess,

Thanks for your comment on my P post. I've been browsing your photos and find them to be incredible. Of the recent ones I was really impressed by the River of Gold, your reflection in Bodie, and the B&W in Bodie. Consider me a new fan. BTW, Happy Anniversary. Best Regards.

  3. Love your blog! Greetings from Austria, a tiny little country in the heart of Europe.
Keep on making pictures like recently, it´s great to see them, while living in a really crowded area, though there are solitude regions by us too.

  5. Drool-worthy every day, Kathy.

Happy anniversary, by the way. Was it the 3rd? Ours was, too!

Now I hope you've changed your voter registration and saved yourself a drive next time.

  6. Thank you Petrea!!!

We beat you by a day...we're on the 2nd!!! (Exactly 32 years to the day after a dance we went to in high school, which was most likely our first date...we have the picture to prove it!!!)

I can't decide whether to re-register up here, or submit an application for permanent absentee ballot...either way, I don't plan on making that drive for that purpose again!!!
